A general note on KEAM Entrance Examination
About KEAM
The KEAM 2015
will be conducted for the admission to the professional degree courses for the
year 2015, Kerala will be conducted on the basis of the following schedule.
The two streams
namely Engineering and Medical are given below.
1. Engineering- Paper1 (Physics and chemistry) (10
am to 12.30 pm), Paper 2 (Mathematics) (10 am to 12.30 pm) ( dates will be on
20th April, 2014 and 21st April, 2014)
2. Medical – Paper 1 (Chemistry and Physics)( 10
am to 12.30 pm), paper 2 (Biology) ( 10 am to 12.30pm) (dates will be on 22nd
April, 2014 and on 23rd April,2014)
Important dates
The candidates
are requested to keep track of the below dates and details.
1. Sale of Security Cards along with Prospectus
through selected Post Offices and Online Application submissions : From
10.01.2013 to 04.02.2014
2. Last date for sale of Security Cards:
04.02.2014
3. Last date for receipt of Online Application
submissions: 05.02.2014
4. Last date for receipt of Online Application
Print out along with supporting documents: 05.02.2014
5. Date for downloading Online Admit Cards: From
24.03.2014
Eligibility criteria
The applicants
should be satisfying the eligibility norms before applying for the same.
1. Nativity: the applicants should be of Indian
origin.POI and OCI holders will be treated on par with the Indian citizens of
India.
2. Keralites
,Non-Keralites origin-
the candidates with origin Kerala will be required to produce certificate of
their parents origin.
3. Non-keralites – the candidates with origin non-keralites
will be required to be categorised as ‘non-keralite category’.
The
category details are required to be checked for the below details.
a) A candidate who has undergone qualifying
course in kerala and who is the son/daughter of non-keralite parents belonging
to the government of India/defense service, posted in Kerala.
b) A candidate who has undergone the qualifying
course in Kerala and who is the son/daughter of the non-keralite parents who
have served for the government of kerala, India.
c) A candidate who is not kerala origin but who
has undergone his/her school studies in Kerala.
d) A candidate who is not Kerala origin but has
been a resident of the kerala state for a period of five years.
