Tamil Nadu Being No: 2 in Student Suicide


      Past year 2014 nearly 8,068 students had committed suicide. The central government has declared that Tamil Nadu has given 2nd place in this ranking. Regarding this issue the Human Resource Development department Minister Mrs.Smiruthi Rani spoke in Lok Sabha, she stated that "due to mental stress and various reasons, past year 2014 nearly 8,068 students has been committed suicide. In this, various states 7,753 students and union territories 315 students are included. 

Tamil Nadu in 2nd Place:

     In this Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and west Bengal are the three states occupying first three places officially, with Maharashtra 1,191 students, next Tamil Nadu with 853 students and in west Bengal 709 students has been committed suicide. 

Maharashtra again First place in the year 2013: 

      In the year 2013 throughout the nation nearly 8,423 student had committed suicide. In this Maharashtra occupied the highest number of death rate with 1,141 students in committing suicide. 2012 survey says nearly 6,654 students has committed suicide. In this the west Bengal students who committed suicide list is not taken in account. "Says Mrs.Smiruthi Rani.
