A general note on BITSAT Entrance Examination
BITSAT 2015 is commonly known as Birla
Institute of Technology and science (BITSAT) admission test. BITS conduct their
signature style computer based online test for the students seeking admissions
into the Integrated First degree programmes. The candidates will be admitted to
the integrated first degree programme on the basis of merit position prepared on
the basis of their scores which is obtained in the BITSAT examination.
The BITSAT 2015 online test will be held in
the month of May or June.

2015 eligibility criteria
1.
The candidates must have
cleared class XII (or its equivalent examination) from a state or central
recognised education board with Physics, Maths and Chemistry.
2.
The minimum aggregate of marks
in class XII in PCM stream is 75% and 60% each in Physics, maths and Chemistry.
3.
The minimum aggregate of marks
in class XII in Physics, Chemistry and Maths is 75% and 60% each in Physics,
maths and Chemistry.
4.
The candidates with qualifying
examination passing in the year 2012 or earlier are ineligible.
5.
The candidates presently
studying in any of the three campuses are ineligible for BITSAT 2014.
6.
The admissions to the BITSAT 2014
would be based on merit score obtained in the BITSAT 2014 and class XII.
7.
The direct admissions would be
given to all the toppers of their respective boards regardless of the
eligibility criteria.
8.
If the two scores of two
candidates are same then, a) the scores in Mathematics/Biology
(for B.Pharm) in BITSAT
will be considered for separating them.
b) If tie still exists,
then their scores in Physics in BITSAT will be considered for separating them.
c) The scores in chemistry
can be used for settling the tie.
d) Their PCM/PCB (for
B.Pharm) total marks in 12th examination will be considered for
their separation.

Subject: Paper1 (Physics)
Number of questions will be 40.
Subject: Paper 2 (Chemistry)
Number of questions will be 40.
Subject: Paper3 (English and Logical reasoning)
Number of questions will be 25.
Subject: Paper 4 (Mathematics and Biology)
Number of questions will be 45.
1.
BITSAT 2014 is of total 3 hour
duration.
2.
All the questions are of
objective type, each questions with choice of four answers, only one being the
correct answer.
3.
Each of the correct answer
fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of one mark.
4.
No marks will be awarded for
questions, not attempted.
