The Jamia Millia Islamia Enigneering entrance examination (JMIEEE) is conducting the entrance examination for the candidates who wish to seek admission for the undergraduate level engineering courses of the Jamia Millia Islamia University which include the Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology courses of the university. 

The university provides the admissions to the B.E/B.Tech courses through the common entrance test Jamia Millia Islamia engineering entrance test. Those interested and motivated about the courses in the Jamia Millia Islamia University are required to appear for the entrance examination and are required to go through the concerned exam paper pattern and marking schemes for the JMIEEE from the information as given below. 

The name of the examination as we know it is Jamia Millia Islamia engineering entrance examination (JMIEEE). The conducting body of the examination is the Jamia Millia University (JMU).  

Eligibility criteria for the JMIEEE

The candidate should have the following eligibility criteria for appearing in the entrance examination. 

1.       The candidate should have completed intermediate/ class 12^th from nay recognised state board/central boards of India with a minimum of 50% marks in the following subjects – Physics, chemistry and mathematics respectively.

2.       The qualifying age for all the applicants should be 17 years and 23 years respectively for appearing in the examination.    

Availability of seats

The availability of the seats in the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) engineering courses are given below.

1.       Civil engineering – 70 seats

2.       Mechanical engineering- 70 seats

3.       Electrical engineering- 70 seats

4.       Electronics and engineering- 70 seats

5.       Computer engineering- 70 seats

Pattern of the examination

The Jamia MIllia engineering entrance examination (JMIEEE) paper pattern is given below.

Physics- 55 marks

Chemistry- 55 marks and

Mathematics – 60 marks. 

The total number of questions for the entrance examination is given as 170. The total marks allotted to the paper are 170. The duration of the JMI entrance examination is for the period of 3 hours. 

Marking scheme

The candidates will be given one mark for each of the correct answer attempted and a deduction of 0.25 marks for each of the wrong answer. The candidates are requested to attend the questions they are sure about as there is negative marking with the marking scheme and may lead to the reduction of the marks. 

JMIEEE admit card

The candidates must attend the entrance examination using the help of the JMIEEE admit card. The candidates must bring the admit card for the entrance examination without which the candidates will not be allowed for the written examination (or online). 

The candidates who have attended and cleared the examination shall be called for the interview to get selected in the courses offered by the university.
